Even nice served warm.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. cocoa
  • 2 t. baking powder
  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 3 eggs.
  • 5 T. grated orange rind
  • 1 1/4 c. warm water
  • Glaze: 1/2 c. orange juice 1/2 c sugar

Directions

With electric mixer, beat sugar and shortening until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until well combined. Add orange rind. Mix dries together and add to egg mixture, alternating with water. Spoon batter evenly into a greasted bundt pan. Bake for 55 minutes at 350. Cool inverted on serving platter. When cool, spoon glaze over top and sprinkle on icing sugar.
Glaze: heat in small pot until syrupy (approx 3 minutes)
