Ingredients
- 1 lb. very lean ground pork (shoulder cut)
 - 1/4 lb. lean ground beef
 - 1 small to medium onion, minced
 - 1/2 cup water
 - salt & pepper
 - Pie crust
 
Directions
Cook slowly, stirring often, until enough liquid has accumulated.  Reduce heat and cook for 2 hours.  Stir often to prevent from sticking to bottom of pot.
 
 Add 2 crushed soda crackers and 1/2 teaspoon (or less) of Allspice.
 
 Fill 8 in. pie, brush crust with egg yolk, and cook in 425 degrees F. for 15 minutes.  Reduce heat to 350 F. and cook 30 minutes.
