Not necessarily gooey, but these always go over well for me at Christmas time. They're also quick and easy to make.
Ingredients
- One recipe of your favorite pie crust (or store bought)
- One jar mincemeat
- Powdered sugar
Directions
Prepare dough for pie crust. Roll out to about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into circles (or any shape you like) using a cookie dutter. Spoon a tablespoon or so of mincemeat onto the circle and cover with another. Press sides down using a fork to seal the edges. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Do not overbake. Serve warm or cold dusted with powdered sugar. (Tarts can be reheated in the microwave if desired).
