Yogurt-Garlic Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and stir gently to blend. Refrigerate, covered, to chill.

I find that you can experiment on the amounts listed above and adjust based on your taste for garlic, lemon, etc.

Makes 1 cup


Variations: Yogurt-Mint Sauce: Substitute 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint or 1 tsp crumbled dried mint for the parsley. Yogurt-Cucumber Sauce: Add 1/2 cup finely chopped cucumber to the main recipe. I think this sauce is called Tzaziki and I know I've spelled it incorrectly!
