I had this salad at Cafe Lurcat here in Naples, Fl It was a simple salad of jullienned apples,a white cheese and chives tossed with a mildly sweet dressing. They have stopped serving it since and I can't find it anywhere.

A family favourite but we're not sure the version handed down remains authentic! It is a recipe passed on by a Jewish relative (I'm not Jewish)) and had a name similar, phonetically, to 'Gdamp Beef' - apologies. Beef topside, (or chicken pieces) stewed whole with finely sliced carrots, herbs, tomatoes and onions, sliced, then baked again in its sauce and served with a wonderful roast potato and crispy rice mixture. Can you identify this, give it its proper name, and the definitive version please!

Had in Venice farfalle with a fish sauce.Chef said it contained a variety of fish and seafood flavoured with cinnamon and thyme. It was more of a creamy sauce rather than tomato based and they would not let anyone put grated cheese on it. Said it wasn't appropriate. It was fabulous and I would like to know if anyone has a recipe that sounds like this. Thanks
