Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vinegar
- 1 egg
- 2 c. cold water
- 2/3 c. cocoa
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 jar caramel topping
- 8 oz. container whipped topping
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- Chopped nuts, chopped Heath bars, or chocolate curls (optional)
Directions
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Then mix in water, vanilla, oil, vinegar and egg, stirring with a spoon. Pour into 9x13 inch cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 to 40 minutes or until done. Cool; poke holes in cooled cake. Pour the milk over the cake. Pour the caramel over cake. Spread and allow to soak into cake. Spread on whipped topping and sprinkle with desired optional toppings. Best when refrigerated overnight.
