Ingredients

  • 1 large cabbage
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 large can stewed tomatoes

Directions

Core cabbage and put in large pot of boiling water. Boil until leaves peel away, removing core as cabbage becomes softer. Cut bottom core off leaves and discard. In large mixing bowl combine uncooked ground beef, uncooked rice, chopped onion & garlic. Mix well. Add spoonful of meat mixture and roll in cabbage leaves.

Layer in large casserole dish or roaster.
Add salt, pepper, 2 or 3 Tbls. butter and stewed tomatoes.

Bake in 350 oven for approx. 1-2 hour.
