Ingredients
- 3 cups sifted self-rising flour
- 2 T. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. white pepper
- 12 ounces beer
Directions
Mix all dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Add beer and stir until well combined; pour into a greased bread pan. Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes until bread is lightly browned on top and sounds hollow when tapped. Butter top after removing from oven. Cool.
For variety add one or more of the following: 1/3 cup sun dried tomatoes; 2 T. diced onion; 1 T. minced garlic; 1/4 tsp. Herbes de Provence.
