Malleable marzipan can be used as a cake filling as well as for a range of beguiling and decorative miniature shapes. Note: If you need a homemade recipe for the almond paste, let me know and I will post it
Ingredients
- 1 cup(1/4 L)or 1/2 pound(225 g)almond paste, at room temperature
- 1 cup(1/4 L)confectioners' sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons rosewater
Directions
Combine the almond paste, sugar, and rosewater well with your hands. Put it on a marble slab or board and knead for 10-20 minutes, until it is very pliable. Wrap in damp cheesecloth and store in airtight container. It will keep for months in the refrigerator.
