Takes a while but is the best I ever had.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup rice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup raisins(optional)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg (optioal)

Directions

Wash rice in sieve under cold running water. Cook rice, salt and milk over hot water for 45 minutes or until tender. Stir occasionally with a fork; add more milk if it becomes dry. Add sugar, raisins and spice. Cook for 5 minutes longer. Add vanilla.
