This is dee-lish with maple syrup, (or fruit preserves or fruit syrup) or you could serve it with fruit, it poofs up and then falls a little, the butter makes a little crust. I used to beg my mom to make this. Powdered sugar on top could dress it up, too.


  • 1/3 cup margarine or butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt


preheat oven to 425 F - put butter in 9 inch pie pan, put in oven to melt - put eggs in blender, blend on high for 1 minute - keep blender going while gradually adding milk, turn to low and gradually add dry ingredients - blend for 1 minute. when butter is hot and bubbling (make sure you don't burn it, you can blend stuff first then melt butter, but don't let mixture stand too long) pour batter in pan - bake for 20 minutes.
