recipes arent written in stone if you find one that sounds good but has onions in it just omit them


  • 1/2 lb.shelled & devained Med shrimp
  • 1/2 lb scallops( Iprefer the small fresh water or bay scallops)
  • 8-12 fresh clams
  • 1lb firm white fish (grouper is what we use in fl.
  • 2 cloves garlic minced fine
  • 2 tbl each : oregano basil crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp salt more if you like
  • 2 cups of clam juice
  • 1 large bottle and 1 small bottle of your favorite marinara sauce
  • olive oil for saute'ing
  • and pasta or rice


in a lg. pot add the oil and garlic saute very quickley and add the shrimp and scallops cook till firm and remove from the pot next add the grouper and cook till white throughout remove from the pot and reserve with the shrimp.Add all the other ingrediants except the clams and simmer uncovered for 1/2 hour.this is where you decide if there is enough fire in the sauce if not add more crushed red pepper or some hot sauce. simmer for another15 min then add the clams when they pop open add the cooked seafood and heat through. be carefull while stirring so you dont break up thr fish too much. serve over rice or pasta
