Makes a large cake or 2 smaller ones.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 1 (8 0z.) carton sour cream

Directions

Mix softened butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating between each addition. Add extracts. Sift flour, salt, and soda together. Combine flour wiht butter mixture and mix well. Add sour cream and mix well. Pour into well greased and floured pans. ( Use loaf pans or tube pan.) Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until center tests done.
