Ingredients

  • 6 slices bread, crust removed
  • 1 lb. pork sausage or 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 1 tsp prepared mustard
  • 3/4 c. Swiss cheese
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 c. half and half
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar
  • Dash salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Line buttered 9 x 13 x 2 inch bakin dish with bread. Crumble sausage in medium skillet; cook over medium heat until browned (or fry bacon and crumble). Drain either well. Add mustard, stirring well. Spready meat mixture over bread; sprinkle with cheeses. Combine remaining ingredients; beat well and pour over meat & cheese. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until set. Cut into squares and serve immediately. Serves 6 to 8. Note: If made night before and refrigerated, let come to room temp. if possible, If not, bake about 10 minutes more.
