Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 1(16 oz) jar creamy peanut butter
  • 1-1/2 lbs.(1-1/2 boxes)powdered sugar
  • 1(12 oz) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1/4 bar of paraffin, shaved

Directions

Cream margarine and peanut butter together until blended; add sugar, and beat well. Shape mixture into 3/4-inch balls. Chill balls at least 2 hours. Melt chocolate morsels and paraffin in the top of a double boiler. When chocolate is melted, insert a toothpick into each peanut butter ball; dip each in melted chocolate, then place on waxed paper. Chill until firm. When chocolate has hardened, remove toothpick and drop a little melted chocolate into hole. (If dipping chocolate has hardened, return to double boiler.) Yield: 60 balls.
Note: Peanut butter balls may be frozen.
