Ingredients

  • 5 qts. popped corn
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tblsp. butter or regular margarine
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions

Turn popped corn into bowl. Cook other ingredients to firm ball stage(245 degrees F.)Pour syrup over corn, stirring gently to coat kernels.

Butter hands and quickly shape into 3" balls. Makes 20 balls.
