Ingredients

  • Braised Pork Chops
  • 2 tsp. cooking oil
  • 2 pork chops, 1/2-inch thick
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • French Beans
  • 1/2 9-oz. pkg. frozen French-style green beans
  • 1/4 cup French fried onion rings
  • Pumpkin Custard
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 cup cooked mashed pumpkin
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. ginger
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves

Directions

Pork Chops:
Set heat selector at 375 degrees F. and heat pressure cooker. Add oil and brown chops. Season with salt and pepper. Combine water and Worcestershire sauce. Turn heat selector to OFF. Pour over pork chops.

French Beans:

Pumpkin Custard:
Combine all ingredients. Pour into 2 custard cups. Cover each cup with aluminum foil.

Combining Meal:
Place cooking rack over pork chops. Place custard on rack. Close cover securely. Place pressure regulator on vent pipe and set heat selector at 400 degrees F. When pressure regulator attains a rocking motion, turn heat selector until pilot light goes out. Cook 6 minutes. Turn heat selector to OFF and disconnect heat control. Cool pressure cooker at once. Remove beans from package and place on cooking rack. Close cover securely. Place pressure regulator on vent pipe and set heat selector at 400 F. When pressure regulator attains a rocking motion, turn heat selector until pilot goes out. Cook 2 minutes. Turn heat selector to OFF and disconnect heat control. Cool presure cooker at once. Sprinkle onion rings over beans to serve. Makes 2 servings.
