Ingredients

  • 4oz glutinous rice
  • 200ml thick coconut milk
  • 50ml sugar-syrup
  • pinch salt

Directions

Soak the rice for at least 12 hours, then cook in steamer and allow to cool. Combine the coconut milk, sugar syrup and salt.

Serve with fresh or tinned mangoes.


NOTE: You MUST use the Asian Glutinous rice. The sugar syrup can be made by diluting 1/2 cup of sugar in 1/4 cup of boiling water. Tinned coconut milk is fine (but try and get the Mae Ploy brand which I find much superior to the others).

Sticky rice
