Ingredients

  • 2 T. salt
  • l 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • l l/2 tsp. black pepper
  • l tsp. white pepper
  • l tsp. onion powder
  • l tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. sweet paprika

Directions

Let chicken come to room temp. Melt unsalted butter in a hot iron skillet. Sprinkle seasoning onto chicken and place in skillet. A side view of the chicken will show that the spices are on fire and the chicken is floating. The burining of the spices is what mellows the hotness and gives it the great flavor. Mr 3 yr old can enjoy truly blackened food. It does creat a lot of smoke and will set off a smoke alarm 3 rooms away. It is recommended that you cook it ourside or in a well vented area. I do mine outside on the side burner on my gas grill. It works great. Enjoy!
