I have never been very successful with biscuits. This is the recipe that my Mom uses and they are absolutely wonderful. I have not yet given up on trying, practice makes perfect right. I think that is the best recipe for biscuits, lots of practice.
- 2 cups self rising flour (Mom always uses Gold Medal)
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup cooking oil
Mix together cooking oil and milk, pour mixture into flour a small amount at a time. Stir well, until flour mixture makes a sticky ball.
Roll ball in small amount of flour until it is smooth & easy to handle. Then cut off a small amount at a time with your hands and place in a lightly greased baking pan. Bake @ 350d. until golden brown. (approximatley 15 - 20 min.) Keep a close eye on them while baking.
