Ingredients
- 1/2 cup self rising flour
- 1 cup corn meal
- 1 onion, chopped fine
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- buttermilk
- vegetable oil
Directions
Mix flour, corn meal, onion, egg, and sugar with enough buttermilk to make a stiff batter. Drop by teaspoonfuls into deep hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
