• 1 - 1lb can of garbanzo beans, reserve liquid
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1/3 cup of Tahini sauce
  • olive oil, optional


Place all ingredients in food processor except olive oil and reserved liquid. Process till mixture resembles smooth peanut butter. Add about half of reserved liquid and process till fully mixed. Place in small, flat bowl to serve. Optional: you can make a well in the center and pour olive oil in well. You may use to dip fresh vegetables or especially with pita bread. It's best if made early in the day.
