• Marinate the steak overnight or for 24 hours i the refrigerator in a glass or ceramic container in the following marinade:
  • 1 cup dry wine
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 3 bay leaves(Vary spices to suit your taste)
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon whole black pepper
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • Remove steak from marinade and wipe dry. Roll in flour and brown in small amount of fat. Pour over it the following mixture:
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • dash pepper


Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours in 325 degree F. oven or prepared in a dutch oven outdoors or on the kitchen stove. Good for any meat which is tough or gamey.
