• 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 9 ounces mascapone cheese
  • 6 fluid ounces coffee
  • 1 tablespoon kahlua
  • 10-12 savoiardi biscuits
  • 1-2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder


Put the egg, sugar and vanillasugar in a bowl and mix gently to a creamy consistency. add the cheese and fold in to obtain a cream. Put the coffee and kahlua in a bowland dip the biscuits for a second or two just enough to let them absorb enough to keep firm but not fall apart. Starting with the biscuits, arrange in 4 individual dishes alternating layers of biscuit and cheese mixture ending with the cheese. Dust with cocoa powder and put in fridge to set and chill.
