Ingredients
- 1- Cup Sugar
- 4-Tbl. flour
- 1/8 t. salt
- 2-Tbl. melted Margarine
- Juice of Two lemons (7-Tbl.)
- Grated rind of one lemon
- 3-well beaten yolks
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 3-stiffly beaten egg whites
Directions
Add blended sugar. flour and salt to margarine. Add lemon juice and rind and mix well. Add to yolk and milk and stir well. Fold in egg whites.
Pour into 8-10 greased custard cups and place in pan of hot water. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min.(will be beautifully browned)
When baked each dessert will have Custard on bottom and sponge cake on top. Granny began making these Lemon Cups in the early forties.

Granny Zahm's Lemon Cups
