(Note: This is awesome! I'm not sure how to make it with Phyllo, but give this a shot. It always gets rave reviews!)

Ingredients

  • MILFE
  • 4 Cups milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4 Tablespoons flour
  • 4 Tablespoons corn starch
  • ¾ - 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon butter
  • 1 Package Pepperidge Farms Puff Pastry Sheets
  • 1 Large Cool Whip
  • Powdered sugar

Directions

Prepare puff pastry sheets according to package directions. ?Slice? in half to make 4 squares. If desired, you can remove some of the flaky buttery layers on the cooked pastry. (I alwys do...in fact, I am known to remove quite a bit so it wont be so fattening). Heat 3 cups milk. Once warm, add sugar, and bring to a boil. While milk is heating, combine 1 cup cold milk, 2 eggs, flour and corn starch. Remove milk/sugar from stove, and slowly add mixture (straining it) while stirring briskly. Return to stove at medium heat and stir constantly until mixture thickens. Remove from stove; add butter and 1 teaspoon Cool Whip.

Layer sheets and mixture (use one ?flat sheet? for bottom, one for top). Refrigerate until completely cool. Spread cook whip on top and sides, and sift powdered sugar over top. Keep refrigerated.
