• 1 c. cake meal (use matzoh meal)
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 pkg. vanilla sugar (if available)
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 4 eggs, room temperature
  • 1/2 to 1 c. chopped walnuts


Melt margqrine and add cocoa. Let cool. Beat eggs till light, gradually beat in sugar (and vanilla sugar). Blend in cocoa mix and cake (matzoh) meal. Blend in nuts, or save them to sprinkle over the top. Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan (or two 8" square pans). Bake 25-30 minutes at 350. Cut into squares when cool.
