Ingredients

  • 1 cup of raisins
  • 1/2 cup spiced rum
  • 1 cup of room temperature butter
  • 1/2 cup of sifted powdered sugar
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder

Directions

Heat the spiced rum just below boiling.
Add raisins and remove from heat.
Cover and let sit for 30 minutes.
Drain.
Cream butter and sugar.
Sift dry ingredients and add to butter mixture.
Stir in raisins.
Roll out to 1/2 inch thick, cut in desired shapes.
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
cool on racks and store air tight.
