Ingredients
- 1 c. unbleached white flour
- 1 egg
- dash of salt
- 1 t. olive oil
- 1/2 egg shell of water (or more)
- 1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 green bell pepper, julienne
- 1 cup whole, pitted black olives
- 3 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1 T. extra virgin olive oil
Directions
In a food processer place flour, salt, oil & egg... blend for a few seconds, drizzle water in slowly until dough forms into a ball. Place dough ball on counter and invert a bowl over it. Let rest for 15 minutes. Divide ball into 3 pieces and either use a Pasta machine to roll and cut or use a rolling pin to roll out into a thin sheet of dough. Roll up into a 1 inch tube (jelly roll fashion) and cut into thin strips. Place in boiling salted water to cook until tender.
Drain and mix in sauce and serve with freshly grated romano cheese.
While dough is resting...Place spaghetti sauce in a skillet, add all other ingredients, bring to a boil, reduce heat to a low simmer and simmer covered until noodles are done cooking. Remove pepper and garlic, disgard before using.
