Ingredients

  • 1/2 kilo mixed summer berries and fruit
  • 8 slices of stale bread or panettone
  • add caster sugar or ribena to taste

Directions

line a small bowl with the bread and fill with berries, fruit and sugar. cover the top with any remaining bread and weigh down with a saucer and a can/kitchen weight and refrigerate over night. the bread will have soaked up the juices and be a lovely purple colour. serve cool with cream.
