It's important to follow the directions in the order given for a tastier sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 small onion
- 1 small carrot
- 1 stalk celery
- bunch of parsley
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 small can of tomatoe paste
- 1/2 cup red wine (optional)
- olive oil (I use extra virgin olive oil)
- salt and pepper
- beef or chicken broth (optional)
Directions
Chop all the vegetables (hold the parlsley) very fine and saute' them in the extra virgin olie oil until translucent. Add the ground beef. Stir well and cook for about five minute or until the meat is separated and browned. Add the tomatoe paste and mix well until all the ingredient are coated. Add the wine (optional) salt and pepper.
Cook again for few minute then add about a cup of water (or broth). Bring to a boil then reduce the heat and simnmer on low heat until reduced.
Note: add a bit more liquid if you think is to dry.
