Ingredients

  • For the Strawberry Filling
  • 5 cups fresh strawberries - cleaned and sliced
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • For the Cobbler Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup plain nonfat yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons margarine - melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 egg whites

Directions

For the Strawberry Filling
Combine first 5 ingredients (strawberries through vanilla extract) in a bowl; stir gently. Spoon strawberry mixture into an 11 x 7 x 2-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray; set aside.

For the Cobbler Topping

Combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl; stir well, and set aside. Combine yogurt and next 4 ingredients (lemon juice through egg whites); add to dry ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Drop dough by the tablespoon onto the strawberry mixture.

Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until filling is bubbly and crust is golden. Serve warm.
