Ingredients

  • 2 c cored, peeled & diced sweet apples
  • 1 c flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 c oil
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 c chopped nuts, optional

Directions

Prepare apples and set aside. Sift flour, salt, and baking soda together, set aside. In medium bowl combine egg, oil, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Blend in flour mixture thoroughly (it will be stiff). Stir in apples and nuts. Spread in greased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 375F for 40 to 45 minutes.
