Ingredients

  • 1 lb.ground round
  • 1 lb.ground italian sausage
  • 1 yellow onion diced
  • 2 tsp. ground oregano
  • 2 tsp. oregano flakes
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 eggs
  • saltine crackers about 25 crushed
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup romano cheese, fresh, grated.

Directions

Add all ingredients together except crackers and mix more. Form into about 2 inch balls. Put in casserole dish and bake in 350 degree oven for about 40 to 45 minutes turning occasionally or until done in the middle. Add to favorite spaghetti sauce recipe when your sauce has been cooking for a couple of hours and almost done. Let meatballs cook in sauce for about 20 minutes so they will marry with the sauce and be nice and tender.


Makes about 20 meatballs
