You may substitute 1/2 cup coconut for the pecans in the icing and/or you may add 1/2 tsp cinnamon to cake.
- 2 cups sugar; 2 cups floor; 1 cup butter; 3 tablespoons cocoa; 1 cup Coca-Cola; 1/2 cup buttermilk; 1 tsp soda; 2 eggs; 1 tsp vanilla; 1-1/2 cups small marshmallows; "ICING": 1/2 CUP BUTTER; 3 TABLESPOONS COCOA; 6 TABLESPOONS COCA-COLA; 1 BOX POWDERED SUGAR; 1 TEASPOON VANILLA; 1 CUP PECANS
CAKE: Sift sugar and flour together in bowl; set aside. In sauce pan melt butter, add cocoa and Coca-Cola. Bring to boil, boil 1 minute. Add to dry ingredients. Mix buttermilk and soda and add eggs and vanilla, stir until smooth. Last, stir in marshmallows. Pour into greased pan 9" x 13"; bake at 350degrees for 45 minutes. ICING: Mix butter, cocoa, Coca-Cola and bring to boil. Add sugar, vanilla and nuts. Spread on warm cake. Cut in squares and serve.
