Ingredients

  • 10 slices bread, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup margarine,melted
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp ground cimmamon
  • 6 eggs
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cups hot milk
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg

Directions

1. Heat oven to 375 F.
2. In a larg bowl, combine bread cubes, melted margarine, raisins, and cinnamon; mix well, and trasfer to a 2 quart baking dish.
3. Use the same bowl to beat the eggs. Stir in sugar, vanilla, and salt until sugar is dissolved. Slowly whisk in the hot milk. Pour egg mixture ove bead cubes, sprinkle with nutmeg, and set aside to soak for 5 minutes.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 min, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
