I cook the meat ahead and have in refrigerator. Also thaw the spinach and sqeeze ahead. The when I'm ready to assemble, I can have it in the oven in less than 10 minutes. Talk about easy and my sweetie loves it!

Ingredients

  • 1 26 ounce jar of pasta sauce (I prefer spicy)
  • 1 24 - 30 ounce bag frozen large cheese ravioli
  • (this replaces the lasagne noodles) DO NOT THAW
  • 1 10 ounce box frozen chopped spinach, thaw and sqeeze dry.
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 3 sweet Italian sausages
  • 3 hot Italian sausages May omit meat if you want
  • 1 8 ounce bag shredded morzarella
  • 1/2 to 1 cup grated parmesan cheese - please not the 'sawdust' in the can

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F. If you choose to use meat, fry until cooked, drain well and cool before crumbling together. (may do ahead and refrigerate) Coat a 13x9 inch baking dish with cooking spray and spoon in a third of the sauce. Arrange 1/2 of the ravioli on top and scatter the spinach and meat (if using). Top with half of each cheese. Cover with another layer of ravioli and remaining sauce and cheeses. Cover with foil and bake 25 - 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes longer or until bubbly.

Serves 6. Freezes well and reheats well after baking.
