Ingredients
- First published in 1901, for The Boston Cooking School.
- 1 2/3 cups flour (all purpose)
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions
1. Sift dry ingredients together.
2. Beat in other ingredients and mix til smooth.
3. Bake in 9 x 12" greased and floured pan 375 degees F oven for 30 minutes.
4. Frost with favorite of choice.
