Ingredients

  • 12 egg yolks
  • 1 1/8 cup sugar (1/2 pound)
  • 1 quart whole milk
  • 1 fifth rum, light
  • 1 quart heavy whipping cream

Directions

Beat yolks until light. Add sugar. Continue beating until the color is quite pale and thick.
Stir in milk and liquor
Chill for 3 hours
Pour into a punch bowl
Beat the quart of whipping cream
Gently, but thoroughly fold whipped cream into the nog.
Chill one hour. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
About 30 cups.
