Ingredients

  • 3-cups sugar
  • 1-cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 16-oz can pumpkin
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 2/3-cup water

Directions

Combine sugar, oil and eggs in large bowl. Mix well. Blend in pumpkin. Add mixture of dry ingredients and pecans. Add water; stir just until mixed. Pour into 2 greased and floured 5x9-inch loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until loaves test done. Cool in pans for several minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
