Ingredients
- 6--8 apples, peeled and sliced fairly thin
- 1/2--1 cup sugar, depending on how sweet the apples are
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon {approx}
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice {optional}
- 5 or 6 dabs of butter
- pastry for a double crust pie
Directions
Place bottom pastry into a pie plate.
Add sliced apples, then sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on apples.
Sprinkle lemon juice on that and put little dabs of butter here and there.
Place top pastry on apples and crimp and make a few slits for the steam to escape.
Sprinkle about a teaspoon of sugar on top pastry.
Bake at 350* for about an hour, till golden brown and you can see it bubbling...
