Ingredients

  • 4 servings
  • 1 clove garlic, halved
  • 1 1/2 lbs asparagus spears
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • salt and pepper

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Rub the cut sides of the garlic over a 13 x 9 inch baking dish, place garlic in dish.
3. Snap off tough ends of asparagus.
4. Add asparagus to dish, drizzle with oil.
5. Sprinkle asparagus with thyme and salt and fresh ground pepper to taste.
6. Toss gently and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, stirring once.
