Ingredients

  • 1 pheasant
  • flour
  • salt
  • pepper
  • cooking oil
  • 1 cup wine
  • 1 sliced onion

Directions

Pluck the pheasant if the bird is to be roasted, or it will dry out in the oven. Pheasant can be cooked just like chicken. It is all white meat. It can also be prepared like quail or turkey. Generally, one pheasant will serve three or four people. Roll cut up pheasant in flour, salt and pepper. Brown in hot oil. Bake in oven with 1 cup of wine, and one sliced onion, until done. If it begins to dry out, add water.Comment:This recipe doesn't state what type of wine to use, but other recipes I,ve seen for pheasant call for white wine. You would probably bake it around 350 degrees.
