Ingredients

  • 8 c nonfat dry milk powder
  • 4 c sugar
  • 3 c cornstarch
  • 1 t salt

Directions

In large bowl, combine milk powder, sugar, cornstarch and salt; mix thoroughly, making sure cornstarch is blended well. Store in tightly covered container or individual one-cup packages. Vanilla Pudding: Add 1 t vanilla and 1 T margarine before removing from heat.Coconut Pudding: Add 1/2 c coconut to Vanilla Pudding. Lemon Pudding: Add 1 T fresh lemon juice, 1 T butter and about 1/2 t grated lemon rind.Banana Pudding: Add 1 or 2 mashed bananas to cooled pudding.Butterscotch Pudding: Use dark brown sugar in place of white sugar in basic pudding mix recipe.


Makes the equiv. of 12, 3 1/4 oz. boxes commercial pudding mix.
