Ingredients

  • 1 one and one quater pound lobster
  • Hellman's mayonaise
  • Hotdog buns
  • (makes two lobster rolls)

Directions

Lobster rolls are very simple to make and do not call for many ingrediants for a true Maine lobster roll. Very important is the fresh lobster. Steam a 1 1/4 pound lobster for about 8 to 10 minutes, until the shell is a nice deep red. You could boil the lobster for the first minute, if for some reason you have problems with the slow death of steam.

Next crack open the beast and take out all the meat (tail and claws). Let the meat chill in the fridge for about 10 mintues or run it under cold water.

Break the meat up into large chunks. Anywhere betwen the size of a quater to a half-dollar coin. Mix the chunks with Hellman's mayonaise. Maybe a 1/2 cup, but its really to taste, maybe more. One good size wooden spoon full should be fine. Let that chill for another ten mintes in the fridge.

Next coat the hotdog buns with butter and fry them in a pan.

Place the lobster in the roll and serve with Cape Cod "Dark and Delicious" potato chips. Enjoy

1 one and a quarter pound lobster should make two good size rolls.
