Ingredients
- 2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 1 3/4 cup flour, sifted
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- Butterscotch Glaze:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbls. milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla or rum extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a bundt pan. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add buttermilk, eggs and melted butter. Beat well. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 50 minutes or until done. Cool in pan for 10 to 15 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack or plate. Cool completely. Top with glaze. Glaze. In a sauce pan, combine butter, brown sugar and milk. Bring to a full boil. Add sugar and extract. Beat until smooth. Add more milk to make a good consistency for drizzling.
