Delicious!!!!Received this recipe from Adam of the Counting Crows while having dinner with them in CA last month. This can be used for spareribs also. It makes the meat extremely flavorful, takes on a sweet taste. And they are not at all dried out - very moist.

Ingredients

  • 1 liter of Dr. Pepper or more to cover chops
  • 1 large onion, cut in fourths
  • About 5 or more cloves of garlic, smashed
  • Liquid smoke
  • Pork Chops

Directions

Put desired number of pork chops in large Dutch oven or large sauce pan. Pour in Dr. Pepper to cover the chops, add onion and garlic and about 1/1/2 teaspoons or more of liquid smoke. Bring to a boil, then simmer until chops are tender. Drain. Put chops in a large baking pan, pour BBQ sauce over all and let set until ready to BBQ.
