I used any red wine and used both fresh and dried spices. Used (1) tblsp. garlic powder and canola oil. Both way's turned out good but I liked mine better as I used a merlot wine and a gamay beaujolis.

Ingredients

  • (1) pound boneless, skinles chicken breasts, (2) tbls. flour, 1/2 tsp.garlic powder, (3) tbls. olive oil, divided, 3/4 cup sliced mushrooms, 1/2 cup marsala wine, 1/2 cup chicken broth, (1) rsp. fresh majoram, (1) tsp. fresh basil leaves, 1/2 tsp. onion powder

Directions

pound chicken to 1/4-inch thick. combine flour with garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. Coat chicken with flour mixture. Heat (2) tbls. olive oil in large skillet, saute chicken 3-5 minutes per side or until done. Remove chicken from skillet. Add mushrooms and remaining oil, if needed. saute 2-3 minutes. Add wine and remaining (4) ingredients. Stir to loosen browned particles; bring to boil. Return chicken to skillet. Simmer, uncovered, 2 minutes
