Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tbs granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups uncooked rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tbs unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbs ground cinnamon

Directions

Preheat ovenn to 375df. Lightly grease cookies sheets or line with parchment paper. Beat butter, brown sugar and the 3/4 cup granulated sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs, mix well. Combine oats, flour, the 1/4 cup cocoa and the baking soda in medium bowl. Stir into butter mixture until blended. Mix the 2 tbs granulated sugar, the cinnamon and the 2 tbs cocoa in small bowl. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into cinnamon mixture, toss to coat. Place 2 inches apart on prepared cookies sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until firm in center. Do not overbake. Remove to wire racks to cool.Make about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
