Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Directions

Sift together flour, sugar and baking soda. Work in butter butter by hand until mixture is crumbly. Add mashed bananas and quickly add eggs, being careful not to overmix. Mixture should be lumpy. Pour batter into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.
